SSLG 9 HELD 2 DAY CLUB FAIR
𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚 𝟵’𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, marked by the enthusiastic participation of all clubs, each of which prepared creative and engaging booths to showcase their activities. 🎪✨️ Students were welcomed with stickers and various booths that allowed them to learn more about each club’s purpose and events.
A key component of the fair’s smooth execution was the strict adherence to safety protocols, as 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. This measure ensured a secure and organized environment for everyone involved. The event was held in two sessions to accommodate all attendees—𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The school administration, together with the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) of Navotas National Science High School, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines–NNSHS Senior Scouts, and NNSHS PALAKAYA, attended and actively participated in the opening event.
The event was successfully held and graced by esteemed guests: Dr. Zurbano, Dr. Corpin, Mr. Meduranda, key stakeholders, and our honorable Mayor, John Rey Tiangco, who also shared inspiring words of wisdom with school personnel, teachers, and students.
Various private sectors, including UNILAB, PNP, Air Force, PAEC, Rotary Club, PTA Federation, and Bostik Philippines, showed their full support for the event.
This opening program not only inspired Bagumbayan Elementary School students but also empowered the Navotas National Science High School community by providing essential equipment for scientific experiments—making learning and exploration easier and more accessible!

In our continuous pursuit of leadership excellence, Scienistas took part in a hands-on First Aid and Emergency Response Workshop led by Hon. Reynaldo Alvarado from the Navotas City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. Participants gained vital life-saving skills, including proper CPR techniques, knot tying, and the application of a triangular bandage, empowering them to respond effectively in emergency situations. This session reinforced the importance of preparedness, quick thinking, and the role of young leaders in ensuring safety within their communities.

The session was led by PSSg Nigel D. Antonio and PSSg Cathy C. Inchan from PNP Navotas, who provided invaluable insights on the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of fostering a safe and bully-free school environment. Through engaging discussions and real-life scenarios, Scienistas were equipped with essential knowledge to make informed choices and stand against these societal challenges.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The 3rd Session of the Scienista Leadership Development Program (SLDP): ‘Know Thyself – Building Good Character’ Workshop.
The session featured highly insightful and engaging talks from Mam Rose Ann Guzman and Mam Janet Cabiguin, who expertly shared their wealth of knowledge and experiences on the importance of personal growth and the development of strong character. Through their guidance, participants gained a deeper understanding of how cultivating self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and ethical values can significantly impact both their personal and professional lives.
Their workshops emphasized the essential role of good character in becoming effective leaders, inspiring the audience to embrace positive changes and strive for continuous self-improvement.
The event was capped off with an inspiring message from Sir Russell Samson, Principal, who motivated the participants to embrace their leadership potential and the importance of integrity in shaping their futures.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | NavSci SSLG proudly hosted the Flags of the World and UN Agencies Quiz Bee Competition today, bringing students together to showcase their knowledge of international flags and United Nations agencies. The event, held in ICT Room from 8:00 to 9:00 AM.
This competition aims to broaden students’ perspectives on global issues and encourage an appreciation of cultural diversity. Here are the Winners:

The event was filled with heartfelt moments, showcasing appreciation and gratitude for our educators who tirelessly inspire and shape us.

𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗡 | Matagumpay na idinaos ang kauna-unahang NAVSCIyahan: Pagtanaw sa KaSCIsayan tungo sa Karunungan, ang pangwakas na seremonya para sa Buwan ng Wika at Kasaysayan, ngayong ika-30 ng Agosto.
Tampok sa seremonya ang pagbibigay ng mga gantimpala sa mga natatanging kalahok na nagpakita ng husay at galing sa iba’t ibang patimpalak at aktibidad ng SSLG, gayundin sa mga patimpalak ng Tropa sa Pagbasa, Project INXPIRE, at MAPEH Club. Nagbigay din ng makabuluhang mensahe si Gng. Genesis Anne G. Sta-Teresa, ang keynote speaker, na nagbigay-diin sa mahalagang papel ng kabataan sa pagpapaunlad ng bansa. Naging makulay at masigla ang selebrasyon sa pamamagitan ng mga pagtatanghal at performances na nagpakita ng pagmamahal sa wika at kultura ng ating bayan. Tayo po ay nagpapasalamat sa NNSHS – SPTA , NNSHS Senior Scouts, ICT Club – Navotas National Science High School, at sa pamunuan ng Bagumbayan Elementary School para sa tulong at supporta na kanilang ibinigay para maging tagumpay ang kaganapang ito.

Sa pamamagitan ng aktibidad na ito, nakita natin ang kagalingan ng mga Scienistas mula sa iba’t-ibang baitang sa kasaysayan ng ating bansa. Lagi nating tandaan na napakahalaga na alam natin ang kasaysayan, sabi nga ni Dr. Jose Rizal— “Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan ay hindi makararating sa paroroonan.”

Amendment of Children COde of Navotas City
Division Federation of Supreme Secondary Learner Government (DFSSLG) President of Navotas City and Navotas City Council for the Protection of Children (NCCPC) Child Representative, Victor Emmanuel R. Dela Cruz, together with other Child Representatives, NCCPC members, Save the Children and SM ZOTO participated in the Revising, Updating, and Amendment of the Navotas City Chidren’s Code which was held last December 16 – 18, 2023 at Madison 101 Hotel.

We would like to express our gratitude and warmest appreciation to all of the volunteers, donors, and supporters. During this donation drive, we provided goods, clothing, and hygiene kits to the family of NavSci students who were affected by the fire last November 14.
Additionally, we also gave more than 100 relief packages in total to Navotas National High School, Bagumbayan Elementary School, and Barangay Bagumbayan West.

Good day, Scienistas! As an event to coincide with the upcoming National Students’ Day, the SSG is encouraging individuals with creative prowess and those interested to share their visual and linguistic skills through a poster and slogan making competition!
Starting this week, representatives must prepare their submissions until November 18, Friday on 3:00PM to be submitted to the provided Google form link. Each section may choose a pair or individual to participate in the contest.
All participants are to create digital poster slogans with any preferred software, art style, aspect ratio and medium.

In honor of National Teacher’s Month, we’ve put together a little tribute to our teachers who have dedicated their lives to teaching us various life lessons and inspiring us to be the best versions of ourselves.
This September 28, 2022, a quiz bee will be held at Rm 401 (Gr 11 & Gr 12 room). It is where the students’ knowledge about their teachers will be tested, and the teacher’s relationship with each student and how well a student knows their teacher will be evaluated.
